Evaluation

My end project was not what I expected. As I said in my process journals we had some problems connecting to the robot so we were not that successful . It was a fun project even thought we didnt succeed we learned a lot. We learned that we shouldn't stop trying and learn from our mistakes. I followed the design cycle and i wrote and evaluation for each lesson. We worked well as a group but i will improve concentrating more. If i would change anything i would change the program that we are using because it is complicated and it dosnt communicate with us. My group and I worked well together and cleaned up when we finished our work. I have one aim for the next project to work all the time because sometimes i lose focus.

Monday 22 march

Today he set a new task for us. The problem was we still didnt program the robot everytime we try to progam the robot. It just showes an x sighn. We are trying multiple times but still didnt succeed. We need to keep on trying.

Last week monday 15th march



IN the last week we were unsuccseful to program my robot. We tried multiple of time to program the robot but it didnt work. The sensors and the robots didnt communicate with us. We tried hard but we were still unsucesssful a hope we program it this week.

11th 3 2010

Sunday and Monday 7th and 8th March




Sunday and Monday 7th and 8th March

On these two days we tried to program the robot. We had many problems with this. We kept on trying and trying but we didn’t succeed. On Sundays lesson we tried to program it but we didn’t accomplish anywere. On Mondays lesson we didn’t accomplish anyhere either but in the last 10 min we did it. We found out how to program the robot unfortunately the touch sensores didn’t work. We are going to try and work the senores. Here are some pictures on wat we did above

4th of march 2010






Today in class we needed to connect the robot to the laptop but we had some problemes. my group and I fixed and finished building our robot. We put the sensors in the right place and we plugged the usb into the laptop and tried to communicate with the robolab but it didnt work. After multiple of tries it finally did communicate but it wouldnt program. That was our problem in this lesson. Every time we tried to program it it would spin out of control. NExt class we will try to program our robot.




Here ARe two picture of the aplication we use for programing the robot. As you can see the picture on the last we were trying to let the robot communicate with the laptop. IN the second last picture you can see the program that we use in robotlab. ON the second picture is the usb we use to connect the robot to the laptop. On the above left picture you can see the instruction book to help us build the robot. On first picture you can see some tools that we use to build the robot. We are trying to use these elemnts to make our robot move and sencse easier.

Process Journal

When we first opened the lego box we recognized the sensors straight away . There was a light sensor which senses light. There is another sensor that senses touch. For example when the robot bumps into somthing it changes direction. Second we tried to make the robot move easily. To do that we needed to follow the instructions. After that we programed the robot by pluging a usb to a softwear called robo lab. Robo lab allowed us to control the robot.


On the right is the actual finished robot as youcan see the two senosrs on the top and the two wheels to help them move. On the left is the light sensor.
